Performance Information

Performance Area
All-Star Cheerleading Squads will perform on a 60' x 45' carpeted spring floor. Selected School Divisions will perform on a 54' x 42' foam back carpet cheer floor. Selected School and Rec squads will perform on a 60' x 45' carpeted spring floor. All Dance Teams at WCA Nationals will perform on a 42' x 42' Marley floor. A center line will be marked in front and back of the performance area.

Performance Order
The performance order for the first day of competition will be based on your registration and payment date when received in the WCA office. The first team to register in their division will perform last in their division. The performance order for the second day of competition will be in reverse rank order with the highest score from the first day performing last in their division. Performance times may be adjusted accordingly to accommodate any cross-over performance. WCA Competition Scheduling only guarantee 15 minutes between competitions. Times may overlap awards and warm-up. WCA reserves the right to alter the "Order of Performance" as needed.

Music
All participants should bring at least two (2) copies of their music (one to compete and one for backup). The music must be "cued" before it is brought to the music table. Music should be of the highest quality for best results. Keep in mind that some "burned" CDs will not play on all sound systems. Only two representatives from each squad will be allowed at the music table. These representatives must remain at the music table throughout the squads performance. One of these representatives must responsible for bringing, inserting, playing and stopping their music. WCA will not be responsible for this task. Coaches should create routines that finish with enough time to ensure that the performance does not exceed the time limit. Penalty points will be deducted for time violations.

Interruption of Performance
In the event of an injury or any other unexpected event, the WCA Competition Director reserves the right to stop the routine. If this occurs, the squad will be permitted to perform their routine again from the point of stoppage. If the stoppage was due to AV equipment or the facility, the squad will be allowed to perform their routine again from the beginning. Judging will resume at the point of interruption.

WCA Nationals Spotters
There will not be anyone other than the teams members allowed on the performance surface during the routine. WCA staff are for safety purposes, and will not be considered as required spotter (s) for your routine. Coaches must keep safety in mind when planning your routine by allowing your squad to perform ONLY the skills that they are capable of performing safely and consistently.
